Creative Production / Project Management

I help clients from different industries with creative production and project management assignments. Having worked with different media – from printed to digital, from television to exhibitions, live shows, conferences, brand activation events, audiovisuals, and more – I bring a wealth of knowledge, a solid and expanding network, strategic insight, and an unconventional, analytic mindset to the table.

Whether you need my involvement since the concept stage – contributing creativity, vision, and strategy to your project, or want me to lead its execution, my experience working across the lines between technicians and authors, creative professionals and administrators, clients and executive management, will help streamline the process and achieve the best results.

A producer or project manager who has worked on the side of creativity can improve communication across teams that sometimes seem to speak different languages, ensure that the client feels taken care of, and factor in aspects that are specific to creative processes. This will ensure that unique, relevant output is delivered on time, within budget, and above expectations.

I make things happen and feel good, fostering a harmonious team atmosphere, unlocking creativity and sparking enthusiasm in the team, while keeping things on track and within budget. I love a good plan and I know how to make the team get onboard with it and trust the process.

Feel free to ask me to join your team for a short-term, specific assignment, or get more involved, on projects with a broader scope that require more time.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

(Some president… and mostly me)

What to expect WHEN WORKING WITH ME:

1. CONSTRUCTIVE, yet UNwavering HonestY

Professionalism goes hand-in-hand with integrity. As a consultant, I will respectfully but clearly share my professional opinion and flag any relevant issues without delay. This ensures that issues and potential sources of friction in the project are addressed on time and effectively, before becoming more critical and costly.

2. AXE SHARPENING (Preparedness is power)

Allegedly an American president said: Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe. I have never found a reliable source to settle its attribution, so I can’t credit the original author, but whoever said that phrase first, I have definitely said it more! Too many projects go awry because of hasty planning. An extra hour spent “sharpening the axe” can save days, if not weeks, in the execution phase. In other words, cutting corners doesn’t help chopping down trees (no trees were harmed while using this metaphor).

3. Clear, realistic timelines

When you put enough time, expertise, information, and analytical thinking into planning, execution will tick like a Swiss watch. A good plan should work as a sense-making tool providing clarity and confidence in processes, roles, and interdependencies. Timelines should reflect this and be based on realistic assessment of the resources available, rather than good intentions and wishful thinking. I work with timelines that are concrete, data-driven, and grounded in the unique nature of creative work. They also include adequate check-points and room for communication, ensuring reliable delivery and adequate engagement of the people involved.
