Creative Team Building

Angelica Vigilante creative team building

Are you sure a pub crawl, pizza night, or bowling challenge are good team building ideas? Sure, creative team building can be a powerful tool to maintain a healthy, cohesive, and engaged team. However, it doesn’t just magically happen by walking people away from their desks. In fact, fresh air is great, but it’s just not enough if your ambition is to stimulate creativity, lateral thinking, and team spirit.

what is your team building out there?

While a different setting can feel like change, there is no place outside the office where the usual group dynamics, patterns of interaction, and static roles won’t follow your team. Unless, that is to say, the activity you prepared for them is designed to challenge them, and facilitated to stimulate lateral thinking, new ideas, and new ways to look at colleagues and work.

In fact, a generic team outing is the easiest way to waste a rare opportunity (not to mention budget!) to foster company culture, address strategic goals, and improve employees’ collaboration and wellbeing in a tangible, fun, and playful way.

CURATED, STRATEGIC TEAM BUILDING

Granted, a slight hangover and embarrassing day-after stories are not what you want your employees or colleagues to take away from a team building experience. Instead, wouldn’t it be great if your team could come back from the experience feeling empowered, more trusting and actually inspired? What if team building could leave them feeling they have learnt new, pleasant ways to connect and collaborate with one another?

An experience curator – someone who understands creativity as well as leadership, team dynamics, strategies, processes, and roles – can help you achieve all that and more.

Based on an adequate briefing call or written brief, I can offer a real creative team building experience capable of improving internal brand engagement. During a briefing call, I will help you identify your priorities and briefing notes. This will help me tailor the experience to your team’s needs, and advise on the type of creative team building experience that can effectively address the most relevant and urgent of them. While thinking outside the box, though, I will always align my proposal with your brand vision, HR strategy, or team goals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Thanks to my eclectic background, understanding of team work, and network in the creative industries, I will create and facilitate a truly unique program that will tap into the innate creativity of your team members.

As most groups tend to come from industries where most activities and interactions are digital and mediated, I strive to offer events that are deeply grounded in offline presence. The activities are highly interactive, playful, aimed at awakening the senses, building trust, and tapping into the participant’s intuition.

I create a comfortable space where participants of different personality types can discover new ways to connect with their colleagues. The specific activities involved facilitate interaction in a safe, harmonious way. As a result, participants find more common ground than expected, learn new ways to communicate and process conflict, and make meaningful memories that transcend typical role divisions.

PARTNERSHIPS

As a believer in collaboration and interdsciplinarity, I partner with trusted experts and artists to curate, co-design or co-produce team building experiences. Thanks to the application of different disciplines that are unusual in team building workshops, my proposals stimulate and inspire participants in unexpected ways, unlocking lateral thinking. Besides, strategic partnerships allow me to cater to specific needs and constraints. Collaborations also allow me to adapt my offer to the unique characteristics of each group, delivering unconventional, surprising experiences with lasting impact.

For example, proposals can include:

  • World-building and storytelling workshops;
  • Food storytelling, collaborative cooking workshops, convivial events, and curated culinary experiences with As Soup As Possible;
  • Practical design and making workshops in collaboration with Team Building Design (participants will leave with their own artefacts);
  • Body percussions workshops (batuque na mao) with Antonino Talamo;
  • Brand activation team building events, designed in collaboration with your Marketing department.
